Why Choose Group Class Obedience Training?
Group class obedience training offers several advantages for both dogs and their owners. Firstly, it provides opportunities for socialization, allowing dogs to interact with other dogs and people in a controlled setting. This helps prevent behavioral issues and promotes positive interactions.
Dogs learn to navigate social situations in a group, such as meeting new dogs and interacting with unfamiliar people. This exposure helps them become well-adjusted and confident in various environments.
Not only does group class obedience training enhance socialization skills, but it also provides a supportive and structured environment for effective learning. Dogs benefit from observing other dogs in the class, which can improve their understanding and speed of learning. Additionally, group training allows owners to learn from other dog owners' experiences and share knowledge and techniques.
Furthermore, group class obedience training often offers cost-effective options compared to
sessions. By sharing the training experience with other dog owners, you can receive expert guidance and instruction at a more affordable price.
You invest in your dog's long-term well-being and behavior by choosing group class obedience training at The Collar Club Academy. With the guidance of our experienced trainers and the support of a community of dog owners, you can build a strong bond with your furry friend and enjoy a harmonious relationship based on trust and obedience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to frequently asked questions about our training programs.
Where does my dog stay in the program?
Your dog will stay at our boarding facility or the trainer's home (depending on what’s best for the dog). This will be determined during your free consultation at our facility.
Will I receive updates while my dog is in training?
You are always welcome to reach out to us, and we will provide you with a daily update of your dog's progress through phone or email support.
Will my dog lose weight?
Every dog is different, but it is possible. We strive to manage their weight and will communicate a course of action in the case.
Will my dog only be training? Or will he get to have fun too?
Training is fun! We make training enjoyable for every dog. Your dog will have outdoor time and go on walks with our staff.
Will my dog listen to me or just the trainer?
Our trainers will teach your dog how to read a person. We will then teach you, as the owner, how to replicate exactly what we taught your dog.
How does follow-up training work?
Our board and train programs offer unlimited sessions where we can refresh the training as needed (up to 6 months after the program ends).
Can you accommodate my dog’s special diet?
Absolutely! We can discuss this during our intake process.
What is the best age to do the Board & Train program?
Dogs must be at least 6 months old (24 weeks) to enter our Board & Train program. However, a dog is never too old to begin training!
(Check out our private lessons for dogs younger than six months!)
Can I visit my dog?
Of course! You are always welcome to visit and check on your dog's training.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
We will reach out to you using the contact info you provided. If we believe the issue is not life-threatening, we will wait until you reply to our message. If we think the issue is life-threatening we will get advice from a Veterinarian regarding recommended next steps
How much will my dog be worked with?
Your dog will be worked multiple times a day. An exercise becomes muscle memory after 4,000 - 6,000 repetitions.
Will my dog forget me?
Not at all. It is our job to teach you how we achieve the training results so that your dog will see you as its loving owner.
Do you ever come to my house?
Yes - our customizable board and training programs include in-home lessons.
Do you guarantee your training?
We guarantee that our expert trainers will use the same proven dog training techniques to train your dog. Sometimes, aggressive and/or fearful dogs, to name a few issues, have difficulty being trained. We typically identify behavioral issues before training begins, but sometimes, these issues are not evident during our free consultation.
What should I pack for my dog?
Enough food for the duration of training
If needed: medication and/or Heartworm, flea/tick
How long in advance do I need to book?
The sooner, the better. We do get fully booked as we have a limited amount of space. Do not hesitate to reach out as soon as you see fit.
